Job Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field such as biology, chemistry, or medical technology is required.
Experience: Minimum of two years of hands-on experience working in a laboratory setting. This experience should involve conducting experiments, analyzing data, and operating laboratory equipment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as microscopy, titration, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and spectrophotometry.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately record and report experimental procedures, observations, and results.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues and presenting findings.
Organization: Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment, manage inventory, and track samples.
Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of oneself and others in the lab.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other lab technicians, scientists, and researchers to achieve common goals.
Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality control standards relevant to the laboratory’s area of work, such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
